Frequently Asked Questions
About My Work
Q: What inspires your art?
A: Inspiration sneaks up on me in the everyday: walking forest trails, watching the ocean shift colors, even the way memories resurface when I least expect them. My work is rooted in landscapes and the feeling of connection to place. Each collage or painting is like a little conversation with memory, belonging, and movement.
Q: Are your collages originals or prints?
A: The collages are one-of-a-kind originals, built layer by layer with paper, paint, and intuition. Some of them are also available as limited edition prints, so if you fall in love with a piece that’s already found a home, there might still be a way for it to live with you.
Q: Do you take commissions?
A: Absolutely, yes! I love when someone brings me a story, a place, or a feeling they’d like to see transformed into art. If it feels like a good fit for both of us, we’ll create something meaningful together.
Buying & Collecting
Q: How do I purchase your artwork?
A: The easiest way is just to send me a note through my contact page. We’ll chat about the piece you’re interested in, and I’ll walk you through details on price, shipping, and any other questions you have.
Q: Do you ship internationally?
A: Yes, I do. Each piece is carefully packaged so it arrives safe and sound, no matter how far it has to travel.
Q: Can I pay in installments?
A: Of course. Collecting art should feel possible, not stressful. I’m happy to set up a payment plan that works for you.
Q: Do you offer returns?
A: Each artwork is unique, so all sales are final. But I always make sure you feel good about your choice before you commit — because I want your piece to feel like it truly belongs with you.
Studio & Process
Q: Where is your studio?
A: My studio is on Vancouver Island, tucked between forest and sea. The landscape here is a constant source of ideas, it shows up in my work in quiet, surprising ways.
Q: Can I visit your studio?
A: I’m part of the Central Island Studio Tour and other open studio events a few times a year. Outside of those times, my studio is a private, cozy space where I create.
Q: Do you teach workshops?
A: Yes! I run playful workshops where we experiment with collage and painting in unexpected ways. They’re less about “getting it right” and more about loosening up, exploring, and having fun with materials. If you’d like to join one, the best way to know when they’re coming up is to hop on my mailing list.
Staying Connected
Q: How can I stay updated on your new work and events?
A: I share my newest work, behind-the-scenes peeks, and upcoming shows through my email letters and on Instagram. Think of it as little postcards from my studio to you.
Q: Do you license your artwork?
A: Occasionally, yes. I’m open to collaborations and licensing projects that feel like a natural extension of my work. If you have something in mind, just reach out and we can chat.
