Start With Yourself - mixed media on canvas - 16x40

$2,000.00

Start With Yourself grew out of the coastline I know by heart — the paths, rocky edges, and open water I return to almost daily. There is something about walking the same place repeatedly that changes the way you notice things. The landscape stops being scenery and becomes part of your internal world.

In this PaperScape, torn paper fragments build the shoreline piece by piece, much like thoughts, habits, and personal shifts accumulate over time. The title came from reflecting on how often we search outward for clarity, when so much begins with paying attention to ourselves first.

This work holds the feeling of familiarity: the steadiness of the ocean, the repetition of footsteps, the quiet companionship of a place that has witnessed countless walks and reflections.
