24” x 24” mixed media on canvas
This piece came from the feeling of being in my body, bare feet pressing into warm sand, grains clinging to skin, the faint coolness left behind as the water pulls away. The air feels thick and still, the light shifting slowly across the surface of everything.
It’s about moving without urgency, noticing textures as much as places: the drag of sand, the softness underfoot, the quiet rhythm of standing, waiting, wandering. There’s a sense of being held in the moment, with just enough pull to keep moving forward, curious about what’s just beyond reach.
